Ovum - Fifteen For Fifteen

Fifteen For Fifteen - Various Artists
Digital Compilation
Ovum
Released: August 3rd

Josh Wink's Ovum imprint is the beautiful age of 15 this year, and to celebrate, Wink is releasing a compilation of the best releases of the past 15 Years.

Since it began, with Firefly's 'Supernatural' (produced by King Britt and including a Wink remix), Ovum has seen releases from Loco Dice, Shlomi Aber, Marc Romboy, DJ Pierre, Aaron Carl, King Britt, Steve Bug, D'Julz and of course Josh Wink's own productions. Ovum still continues to grow by both introducing new talents and releasing one-offs from some of the world's best-known producers.
"Ovum is about integrity to good music! We feel that we don't have to follow the music that is trendy or fad-like at the moment." - Wink

2. Sei A Bass Remix
3. Sei A Synth Remix

Booka Shade get cosmic with their new single - ‘Teenage Spaceman’ - taken from their fourth artist album ‘More!’.

Booka Shade’s own ‘Booka In Space’ mix is the main title track of the EP - emotive, contemporary, techno - the three words that sum it up to perfection. Described as a melancholy masterpiece of suggestion and atmosphere, building to that breathless, eyes-closed moment you can only ever experience on the darkness of the dancefloor…

Sei A, one of the UK's most promising techno talents brings his distinct rich textured sound of warm subtle melodies and moody atmospheric synths with two signature remixes. With productions already signed to Gigolo, Buzzin' Fly and Turbo, this young Glaswegain delivers a mature style of Deep, Tech House. Tim Deluxe again takes a detour from the style he’s known for (first Garage, then House, Techno and now Disco) and delivers an energetic Future Disco remix.

Four albums in and Booka Shade are forever pushing forwards. Over the past two years their Live show has seen them extensively tour the world, including Coachella USA, Sonar Spain, Red Rocks USA, Future Music Australia, Werchter Belgium and many more – taking Electronic Music Live to the masses like Brit and French counterparts Underworld, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers.

VIDEO COMP... Booka Shade gave the opportunity to aspiring film directors to make the video to ‘Teenage Spaceman’. After many brilliant entries from around the world, the winner was picked on June 23rd. Matthew Harris, from New Zealand, won:

“There was the video from Matthew Harris, where a loner finds contact to the world again with a self made space suit. The narrative is held together with amazing special effects and a fantastic performance by Scott Orr. The video is freaky, funny, a little trashy (in a positive Dee Lite circa early 90s, way). We've never had a video with a sense of humour before and our initial reservations were slowly quashed as something kept making us return to watch it over and over.” (Booka Shade)
