It’s that time of year where Strummerville present some of the fine talent they have been supporting. Strummerville’s bi-annual new music showcases are always highlight events for your musical calendar. Following from a sell-out show with Frank Turner headlining in the spring, Strummerville are very excited to invite Kai Fish (of the Mystery Jets) to headline the Strummerville winter sessions on Saturday November 26th, alongside some excellent new bands to warm your ears for the first time…
“For our winter sessions we are thrilled to have Kai Fish and The Light headlining proceedings. Kai's new album has been one of our favourites here at Strummerville HQ, so we're honoured he's going to come and play down at the yard for us.” - Strummerville
Anyone who has ever been to a Strummerville campfire or previous Strummerville Sessions, will know that at every Strummerville event, there is a unique energy unlike any other. Strummerville’s attitude for events is great music mixed with great people – on stage and off - pure and simple. For this special event, Strummerville are putting up a big top circus tent at the Strummerville yard (the best location ever, as you will see!), with live music from 4pm until the early hours.
“Strummerville's work to help young people find their voice through music is brilliant and it’s an honour to be asked to play their winter party. As well as this I met my wife at the Strummerville campfire a couple of years ago at Glastonbury... There's no doubting the magic it shares!” – Kai Fish
“If you’ve never been to a Strummerville show before, I can honestly tell you that you’re missing something spectacular.” (Glasswerks event review:
http://www.glasswerk.co.uk/reviews/national/9739/Frank+Turner,+Strummerville )

Forever Strummer
Hello Dear Friends of Strummerville,
Excited to let you know that we have just announced our FOREVER STRUMMER Calendar for next year which will mark the 10th anniversary of Joe's passing.
The Calendar includes some previously un-seen images and hand-written artifacts from Joe's personal archive along with some of his wonderful words of wisdom and hope.
It's been such a pleasure to put this together and we hope its something that people will treasure.
Due to so many requests we are making Joe's last hand painted Christmas card available again alongside a new design which is a truly beautiful Bob Gruen shot of Joe in the snow, giving some money to a homeless person on the street. Bob said "I never saw Joe pass a needy or homeless person without giving them something" and i guess this shot just captures this in action.
The calendar and Christmas cards are available now for pre-order from our website and will begin to ship on 11.11.11 ~ they can be ordered directly from here →
http://www.strummerville.com/forever-strummer/
Obviously, your support as always is much appreciated and by buying our "stuff" you help us to continue our work.
We are currently working on plans for a Strummerville space in Detroit so watch this space for news of that...

Tim Deluxe – ‘Transformation’ EP (Get Human)
Press Release
Tim Deluxe – ‘Transformation’ EP
1. Transformation
2. Horizon (New Day) Feat. Ben Onono
3. Lucid Dreams
4.Horizon (New Day) Dub Feat. Ben Onono
Released : 28 November 2011
Get Human - www.gethuman.info
Tim Deluxe launches his own label ‘Get Human’, now the sole outlet for Deluxe’s own productions, with the focus on the label aimed for musical compositions as opposed to throw away loop based tracks.
The first release on the label is the ‘Transformation’ EP – a four track EP, the title track of which – a piano laden dance floor destroyer - is already hyped with big support from Radio Slave, DJ Hell (for which he said ‘Transformation’ is “a masterpiece”), Nic Fanciulli, Carl Cox, Darren Emerson and X-Press 2. Also featuring on the EP is ‘Horizon’ (Original and Dub) – a sentiment written about the tragic events in Japan, on which Ben Onono’s vocals reflect a motion of hope and change, and ‘Lucid Dreams’, a trippy soundscape as the title would depict…
“I feel we are in strange times, (we) humans are almost becoming robotic. Get Human is a reaction to this. The aim will be for me to focus on the musicality of my productions at a deeper level. The emphasis will be on melodies, arrangement, textures and scales, hopefully resulting in music that will stand the test of time a bit more. The emphasis of the label will be on my solo work with an aim to convey artistic freedom, quality and integrity, alongside good old fashioned human frailty.” - Tim Deluxe
From the now classic, garage stormer ‘Rip Groove’ (under the guise Double 99), to the seamless ‘Sirens/We All Love Sax’, to his Latin inspired, house monster: ‘It Just Won’t Do’, to the jumped-up ‘Let The Beats Roll’, to the deep techno builder ‘Espoo’s Rose’ ,or his recent collaborations with X-Press 2 - Tim Deluxe’s productions are renowned for quality, diversity and above all, making dance floors move. His remixes including Layo & Bushwacka’s ‘Love Story’, Basement Jaxx, GusGus,Alter Ego,Tomas Anderson,Booka Shade and his bootleg of the White Stripes have all added testament to this.
Remixes of ‘Transformation’ from Radio Slave and DJ Hell, will follow in early 2012.
‘Transformation’ EP is dedicated to the people of Japan with all proceeds going to Japanese Red Cross Society for the tragic events of 11th March 2011.

Marking 10 years since Joe Strummer's passing, the calendar will include 12 months of Strummer's most inspirational quotes, previously un-seen images and hand-written artifacts from his personal archive; some that have never been seen…
“ The Future Is Unwritten”
“The way you get a better world is, you don’t put up with sub-standard anything”
“Ignore Alien orders”
“Be mythic and prolific”
“If not I then who”
“Punk Rock means exemplary manners to your fellow human beings”
“People can change anything they want to, and that means everything in the world”
“Everybody has a story to tell”
“Without people you're nothing”
“Everyone has got to realize that you can’t hold on to the past if you want any future. Each second should lead to the next one.”
"We are very excited to present this calendar as our first offering for Joe's 10th anniversary next year. It’s interesting how even ten years after Joe's passing some of his words of wisdom are more pertinent now than ever before and we hope that this is reflected in the calendar and that it will be celebrated by Strummer fans around the world" - Strummerville
Strummerville will also be releasing two Joe Strummer Christmas cards this year. One is Joe's last hand-drawn Christmas card (Strummer would send hand-drawn Christmas cards to his close friends every year) and one is an as yet unseen photo of Strummer, taken by Bob Gruen in New York, when Joe was giving money to a homeless person.
"I never saw Joe pass a needy or homeless person without giving them something" – Bob Gruen
