Second Secretsundaze Compilation Mixed By Tobi Neumann

After the amazing response to ‘secretsundaze Volume 1’ mixed lovingly by residents and founders Giles Smith and James Priestley, they present a second mix CD release with a new compilation series ‘secretsundaze presents...’, compiled and mixed by Tobi Neumann.

Embarking on their 7th season, secretsundaze remains one of the most innovative, exciting and fun places to be for house and techno heads and party people alike. Over the years, the likes of Ame, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Trevor Jackson, Luciano, Dan Ghenacia and Steve Bug have all graced the decks.

Neumann commented, “The first time I heard about secretsundaze was from Ricardo and Luciano in 2005. They both told me that it was the BEST Sunday day-party; done with love and passion, with a great crowd and super exclusive. About my mix: I like to choose special, timeless tracks for my mixes. Tracks which I collect over the year but which are not used from me every weekend in my ‘main time’ sets so much. I wanted to create a musical home and car-listening proofed mix, which has a flow - my flow and my own idea about groove - just not too fast. I hope that I’ve chosen a good collection of timeless tracks for my secretsundaze mix, a selection which people will still want to listen to in a couple of years.”

secretsundaze presents Tobi Neumann is a great second release for the label and truly represents what is happening within forward thinking underground house and techno in 2008.

Josh Wink scores Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ on Radio 1

Josh Wink scores Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ on Radio 1 UK after the Miami debut of his excellent, much hyped new release ‘Stay Out All Night’.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/petetong/

“The tune that I think should be the biggest dance record in the world right now. It will be, trust me… Sensational.” – Pete Tong

After only 20 CDs given out, there is massive DJ support also coming from Laurent Garnier, Steve Bug, Anja Schneider, Loco Dice, Nic Fancuilli, Sebo K, Jamie Jones, Clive Henry, Layo and Bushwacka!...

The style? Wink goes against the current musical grain and pairs NYC 90's house with Chicago jackin’ beats and a bit of St. Germain.

This is the prelude to Josh Wink’s upcoming artist album ‘When a Banana Was Just a Banana’ due later this year, which will once again blur the lines of house music.

Stay tuned!

Laurent Garnier Releases First Dance Single In Five Years

Laurent Garnier delivers his first dancefloor 12inch release in five years, ‘Back To My Roots EP’, released on Âme and Dixon’s Berlin house imprint, Innervisions. A truly inspirational night in February this year saw Garnier’s welcome return to the Panorama Bar in Berlin, where the birth of this new single was stimulated.

Garnier says, “During that time I played the demo mix of the ‘Back To My Roots’ track, which I’d made that week (the B side wasn't even made). Dixon jumped on me to ask what it was. He said that he loved the sound of it and asked me what I wanted to do with it, mentioning that he would really like to release it on Innervisions. I went back home on the Monday and worked straight away on another track, which I named ‘Panoramix’ (a tribute to that night at Panorama). I sent a very rough demo to Dixon via download and received a text five minutes later saying that he wanted it. It happened really fast without me having any plans at all.”

Dixon also commented, “When Laurent played ‘Back To My Roots’ at Panorama, I immediately had the feeling that I was listening to a classic. It’s a very unique timeless production. Not hip, not modern, not oldschool. It is also a 12 minutes journey that is worth to play for that long. We are very happy that Laurent told me straight away in the club that he would be cool with releasing this EP on our label. Well - and lets not forget about THAT B-side."

Laurent Garnier is currently working on his next album release, due for release later in 2008. He will also undertake a live tour at the end of the year… For The (and his) Love Of Music, check his website www.laurentgarnier.com and tune into PBB – Garnier’s original 24 hour online web-radio that he has been running since 2004.
